Newest Addition to Sweet Shop Natalie - Edible Images!!!

So excited to announce the latest addition to Sweet Shop Natalie! Another way to make any occasion you have special and custom.

Edible Images are now available!

The possibilities are endless and will make your event even more memorable by adding edible image cookies.

Here are just a few ideas to get the ball rolling.....

Business logo... want to promote your company in a "sweet" way? Your logo can be printed and put on any size cookie you want to hand out to customers at your event, business luncheon, or employee.

I even did my own logo and I love it! Maybe I will start using them as a business cards for special events.

How about a baby shower or 1st birthday, or any age.....

Customize your parents anniversary party by putting your sweet parents on a cookie....

Here is an example of a cookie you could do for Father's Day or a milestone birthday.... (this is my Dad, you got to love the lamb chops he had)....

Wedding or bridal parties: Take your event to the next level by having the lucky couple's picture on the cookie, you could put them on the dessert table, have it as a wedding favor, or even a thank you gift to your wedding party/guests....

Graduation time: Personalize your son or daughter's graduation party with their picture on a cookie mixed in with a themed cookie platter...

Christening/baptism.. Here are some cookies I did last month for a baby baptism, they were cookie favors for the dinner celebration party guests....

Another shot of logo cookies on a platter...

The cookies below are heat sealed in a cellophane bag that would be perfect for party favors!

CookieCon 2014 Artfully Designed stenciled cookies

Just a quick blog filled with a lot of pics!! Shannon from Artfully Designed Co. Asked if I could make some cookies using some of her 75 stencils that she is selling at CookieCon this week. I said of course!
Then I got scared when I got all the stencils. I really wanted them to look great for Shannon she just wanted to have some real life samples of what the stencils look like on a cookie.

So I got to work...this first one is the Thankul for stencil and I thought what am I thankful for?? Well my kithchen and CookieCon of course.

This is the first group I did. I did not love all of them so I redid a few...

These were the few I did over.

RaCk - Random Act of Cookie Kindness

This may have happened back in October! But it is still worth talking about.

Being a part of the cookie community has been so wonderful. I belong to an online group of cookiers and they are the most sweetest people on earth, willing to watch each others back and help out those that have had a cookie catastrophe!!

Back in the beginning of October one member posted a review of a well known etsy baker who steals others people photos and tries to post them as her own to sell her cookies. That is a BIG no no!! Well the review happened to be from a young woman who had ordered cookies from this lady for her bridal shower and the cookies where not packaged properly with just one little sheet of bubble wrap on top. They arrived to the bride in crumbs and did not look a thing like the picture she posted as hers to sell. This bride had tried to contact the seller many times to no avail hence the bad review.

So when a screenshot of the bad review showed up on the cookie group wall Cindy's Cozy Kitchen suggested that we make her some cookies to make it up to this young bride so she would know that the cookie world is tight and we take care of each other and that we are not out there to scam customers. Within hours cookiers from all over the country were offering to help by sending a dozen of cookies each to the bride for her wedding.

Tami of Tami Rena's Cookies contacted the bride and promised that we were not crazy stalkers but that we wanted to help her out and restore her faith in the many many many other cookie businesses that are not out there to rip off their customers or other cookie businesses by using their photos as their own.
We found out that her colors were cream and white and the wedding was in just one week!!!

We had 19 volunteers who busily set out to make a dozen each of cookies to ship out to the bride in time for the wedding.

I did a few different things, from stencils, to brush embroidery.

It was fun to work together on such a project of random kindness!

Here is the collage of all the cookies she received. Amazing work from all those that contributed!!

Here is a list of all those that made cookies for the bride from left to right

But there is more!! There were many more bakers that wanted to help out but was not able to make cookies at that time so they genously paid for others shipping costs!! Isn't that wonderful. Makes me feel so wonderful that there are so many people out in the world that geunuaily want to help others. So check out these talented bakers as well.

Temple Cookies

I saw a temple cookie cutter at Desert Book awhile ago it was a little pricey so I told myself no, but then a few weeks later I succumbed and I had to go buy it!

This was the last cookie I frosted and I ran out of white icing and I didn't want to make some more icing so I just filled the rest of it with gray in the corner and then dragged it out into the white as it turns out it was one of my favorites of the bunch.
