October Specials 2013

I am so excited I finally got my Home Cottage license from the State of Utah!! hip hip hooray It only took 10 months of calling the state department a bazillion times and after finally getting down to why things were not moving forward my case was pushed on, inspected and approved!

What does this mean? I can now officially market my cookies to all of you! 

So happy that this has finally happened so I will be doing special for the rest of 2013 starting off with Halloween/October specials!

Go Bo Bake Sale / Fall Mod and Halloween Cookies

I heard about the Go Bo bake sale last year so when the made this an annual event and called for cookiers around the world to participate I jumped at the chance. Amazingly enough cookiers from all of the United States and 8 countries are donating cookies to the cause. I only wish that I lived in Wisconsin to witness the actual event!! 

If you don't know what I am even take about it is a wonderful foundation that was started from a young boys story. A boy named Bo.

Here is a little bit of info about Bo.

Bo Johnson was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia, EM/AML, at the age of 12. He has battled this disease for a year, and lost on Sept. 28, 2012.
Prior to his illness, Bo was a normal active boy, enjoying life with family and friends. The illness that took his life could NOT stifle his spirit or courage. Facing the most serious medical condition, Bo chose to show all of us what it means to "live life to the fullest & enjoy every day.”
Bo reminded us what true courage means, and why one boy can inspire a multitude with nothing more than a smile and a dream to help others. 
The GO BO Foundation brings hope to children with life-threatening medical conditions by funding research, supporting treatment, and helping their families during times of financial need.
Paying it Forward...this is Bo's dream.
The GO BO Foundation fulfills its mission by:

• Funding the cutting-edge research on cancer and related blood disorders at the MACC Fund

• Supporting state-of-the-art treatment in a child friendly environment provided by doctors like David Margolis atChildren’s Hospital of Wisconsin

Assisting the families of Door County children through the GO BO Family Assistance Program

I decided I would do a little picture tutorial of how I did my Mod Fall Cookies for the Go Bo Bake Sale I am taking part in this year!  

Then you let the cookie dry for a few hours and then you can add the details with a food coloring pen!

The theme for the Go Bo bake sale is Fall or Halloween theme. Here are the Halloween ones that I did for the event.
